This Privacy Policy describes how Scribble Cubes ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information about you through our mobile application, SC Attendance (the "App"). This App is intended for use by employees of Scribble Cubes for attendance tracking purposes. 

1. Information We Collect 

We collect the following types of information through the App: 

• Information You Provide: 

• Biometric Information: We collect your biometric identifier (e.g., fingerprint, facial scan) to authenticate your identity for clocking in and out. This biometric identifier is stored securely on your device and is not transmitted to us. We only receive a confirmation that your identity has been verified. 

• Employee ID: We collect your employee ID to associate your attendance records with your employee profile. 

• Information Collected Automatically: 

• Location Information: We collect your precise location data when you clock in and out through the App. This is used to verify that you are at your designated work location. You will be prompted to allow the App to access your location, and you may disable this permission at any time through your device settings. However, doing so may prevent you from being able to clock in and out through the App. 

• Device Information: We may collect certain information about your mobile device, such as the device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers. This information is used for troubleshooting and to ensure the proper functioning of the App. 

• App Usage Data: We may collect information about how you use the App, such as the features you access and the time, frequency, and duration of your activities. This helps us to improve the App and provide a better user experience. 

• Information from Other Sources: 

• We may receive information about you from our internal employee databases to confirm your identity and employment status. 

2. How We Use Your Information 

We use the information we collect for the following purposes: 

• To record and manage employee attendance. 

• To verify your identity for clocking in and out. 

• To ensure you are at your designated work location when clocking in and out. 

• To process payroll and other compensation. 

• To monitor compliance with company policies. 

• To improve the functionality and user experience of the App. 

• To troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. 

• To comply with legal and regulatory requirements. 

3. How We Share Your Information 

We may share your information with the following parties: 

• Internal Departments: Your information will be accessible to authorized personnel in our Human Resources and Payroll departments for the purposes described in this policy. 

• Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud storage providers and software maintenance providers. These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and are not permitted to use it for any other purpose. 

• Legal and Regulatory Bodies: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend our rights or property, or in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of any individual. 

We will not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties for their marketing purposes. 

4. Data Retention 

We will retain your personal information for as long as you are an employee of Scribble Cubes and for a reasonable period thereafter as required by law or for our legitimate business purposes. Your biometric identifier is stored only on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App. 

5. Your Rights and Choices 

You have certain rights and choices regarding your personal information: 

• Access and Correction: You may have the right to access and correct the personal information we hold about you. You can typically review and update your information through the App's settings or by contacting the Human Resources department. 

• Location and Camera Permissions: You can control the App's access to your device's location and camera through your device's settings. Please note that disabling these permissions may limit the functionality of the App. 

• Uninstalling the App: You can stop all further collection of information by the App by uninstalling it. 

6. Security 

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. We use a combination of technical, administrative, and physical security controls to maintain the security of your data. 

7. Children's Privacy 

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. 

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy 

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
